Grow your #bubblebeard for DecemBeard!

Everyone knows that the best times you ever spent in the bathroom have involved making a beard and pretending to be Father Christmas or Dumbledore.

Whichever bearded hero you prefer, making a bubble beard is an undeniable joy, especially if your stubble refuses to evolve into a fully-fledged beard.

To celebrate this, we're challenging lovers of bubble beards far and wide to join in our festive campaign: this December, sculpt your best facial hair in support of DecemBeard!

What is DecemBeard?

DecemBeard is an annual campaign run by the charity Beating Bowel Cancer, encouraging people to grow beards over the month of December to raise awareness and money for the cause. We decided to join in the fun in our own special way, and thus #bubblebeard was born – a joy that everyone can experience, be you man, woman, or child!

'How can I get involved?' we hear you cry

Well, you can start by sculpting your very best bubble beard and sending us a picture. Whether you pick Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, fax, or carrier pigeon (we’d probably prefer that to a fax, if we’re honest), bring your snaps to our attention using the hashtag #bubblebeard.

We’ve already enjoyed seeing some famous faces covered in bubbly beards, including Kate Garraway, Chris Stark, and the Saracens. Now, it’s your turn.

Be as outrageous as you like: Fu Manchu moustaches, mutton chops, Garibaldi beards, even handlebars – we welcome facial hair of all shapes and styles!

Whatever facial fuzz you prefer, remember that the reason behind all the bubble-related fun is raising money for a very worthy cause.  When you upload your beardy selfie, make sure you also text BUBL15 £2 to 70070 to make your £2 donation to DecemBeard.

Get all your friends and family involved – just make sure that your #bubblebeard is much better than theirs so you can earn some serious bragging rights. Foamy facial hair is a serious business.

How to shape the best bubble beard

Here are our tips for making the best bubble beard:

  1. Create your bubble mixture. We suggest a liberal dose of foamy bubble bath mixed with water. (Don’t forget to shake before use!)
  2. Apply all over your face and gradually sculpt away depending on the shape you’re going for. Keep a supply of water to hand so you can keep your fingers clean while you’re creating!
  3. Strike a pose! We want to see your best Blue Steel.

Bath fans, we have every confidence in you to come up with some truly spectacular designs. Get bubbling, and remember to donate to DecemBeard to help them continue their hard work in supporting those affected by bowel cancer.

Happy bubble-bearding, fellow bath lovers!
